PANDORA'S STONE
A Quest for Hope that Goes to Pot

In a collage of small-town stories, three strangers return home, dealing with hardships that divide family, beggar faith, and test their sanity.

Allison lost her favorite uncle but will uncover family secrets that hurt even more. Brent has just quit the Peace Corps in Ecuador, unable to deny humanity’s self-destruction. Kevin trades friends, family, and shelter for his addiction, and it goes from bad to worse.

Haunted by the past and an uncertain future, each must struggle to find the path back from hopelessness. On the way they learn there’s more to fear in the tame than in the wild.

These three lost souls seek sanctuary from a world of troubles, only to find peace of mind with the help of a mad spirit and a … higher wisdom.

I'm super impressed and totally into it right now ... also appreciate how you're sympathetic with a diverse cast of characters.

“Kevin did all the designs, I only helped color it in. I never could get a feel for it. But you, Brent? I’m no art expert, but I’d say you’re a natural.”

“Thanks.” Brent is radiant with the praise. He angles the easel with the ghost-dog image toward Larry. “What do you think of this one?”

“Hmm, I like it! The face is scary but intriguing too – real otherworldliness to it. Seems caught between fantasy and reality. You know which is which, right?”

About Roy G. Bivlowski

Born in Normal, Illinois, Roy G. Bivlowski has always been fond of the Midwest and what the farmers there taught him, from corn to cows to grandma’s cooking. It’s also where he first heard the poetry of the wind. After moving West to the big city, and several ill-advised office jobs, Roy finally found time to write. In pursuing life’s stories he found: you can’t believe everything they tell you, but it’s all true.
